This heavy duty slide gate is for manually releasing or stopping the flow of grist or powders into the mash tun mixing pot/tank from a mill/auger or grist case. It is constructed of a PTFE gate encased in a stainless steel 316 housing. The 8 inch Tri Clamp connections allows for easy installation onto a standard 4" triclover, and offers compatibility with most auger/grist case drop-tubes. When closed, the Glacier Tanks slide gate is able to stop steam from rising into the grain handling system where the steam can create hardened residue when it contacts fine particulates from residual grist.
